PEORIA - Marcus Knox Sr., 54, of Bismarck, N.D., formerly of Peoria, Ill., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, in Bismarck, N.D.
Marcus was born on Feb. 23, 1960, in Peoria to Troy and Willie (West) Knox.
Marcus was a 1978 graduate of Manual High School. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. He served as a general laborer for Union Hall 563 in Bismarck, N.D.
He is survived by four children, his fiancee, five brothers, six sisters and four grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. today, May 29, 2014, at Simons Mortuary, with a visitation one hour prior, beginning at noon. The Rev. Virgil Gordon will officiate.
Simons Mortuary has been entrusted with arrangements.
