My heart is breaking with learning of Margie's passing. She was my second mother when I was a new nurse in Premie in 1969. I worked with her for a little over three years on second shift. She taught me many things about the premies and was the one who showed me how to make "Premie Trips". She also was supportive and encouraging in my daily life and was so tickled when I met and married my husband. When my second son was born around 6 lb, she warned me that he would not stay small and dainty with the name of Timothy Michael - he would tower above the rest of us as her son Tim did!
Whenever I did something wrong or "got in trouble" at work, she was the one called into the Supervisor's office. As she would tell me of her being talked to, she always laughed and would shake her finger at me, but she never got mad at me! I have so many fond memories of her.
To all of her precious children and grandchildren - you are all in my heart, thoughts and prayers! She was a very special and wonderful lady! Be proud of who you are because of who she was - and your dad, too!!!
With love and prayers,
Sue Savage Gillick
