HANNA CITY - Mark C. Cruise, 44, of 127 N. Main, Hanna City, Ill., passed away Monday, Oct. 4, 2010, at 3:28 p.m. at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Ill.
He was born in Peoria, Ill., on May 6, 1966, the son of Clifton L. and Laura Bell (Doubet) Cruise.
He is survived by his parents of Hanna City; one sister, Crystal L. (Danny) Brown of Minier; four nephews, Matthew Boyer of Minier, Christopher Boyer of Hanna City, Jason (Rachel) Boyer of Bloomington and Ben (Tacia) Boyer of Minier; and one great-nephew, Jack Boyer of Minier.
Mark graduated from ICC and then from the University of Illinois with a business degree. He then went to barber school in Texas and owned and operated Mark's Barber Stylist Shop in Hanna City. He last worked at the Par-A-Dice in Peoria in maintenance.
He loved playing and listening to music.
He was a member of the Trivoli United Methodist Church.
Services will be Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Hanna City United Methodist Church in Hanna City, where visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. The Rev. Joy Schlesselman will officiate. Burial will follow in Smithville Cemetery in rural Hanna City.
Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Hanna City United Methodist Church or the Trivoli United Methodist Church.

Laura and family, I am very sorry for your loss of your son. He was a very good friend since I first met him at ICC in the 1980's. My condolences go to you and your family. Mark is in a much better now and no longer suffering from the disease that he had over the years. I will keep you in my prayers and remember your son for the rest of my life.
