Mark Madigan Obituary

Mark A. Madigan
PEORIA - Mark A. Madigan, 60, of Dunlap, IL, died on Friday, June 18, 2021 at his residence.
He was born on March 13, 1961 to John and Bonnie (Nussbaum) Madigan in Peoria, IL. He attended St. Thomas grade school and Peoria Heights High School.
Mark is survived by his three children, April, Jacob, and Christian Madigan of Denver, Colorado; one granddaughter, Lilith Madigan of Denver, Colorado; sisters, Kim Pettit of Dunlap and Christine (Sandy) Frazier of Gentry, Arkansas; and brothers, Bernard (Pamela) Madigan of Bartonville, Daniel Madigan of Farmington, and Patrick Madigan of Peoria. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Steven and John Madigan.
He was passionate about physical fitness and enjoyed playing softball with his father and brothers at Peoria Stadium. Additionally, he often coached his children's basketball, baseball, and soccer teams. He was an avid Cubs and Bears fan. Mark was very proud of his children, grandchild and his Irish heritage.
He enjoyed playing the drums and harmonica at family gatherings and on several area worship teams. He loved photography and capturing moments on video including outstanding images of storms around the Central Illinois area, many of which were featured on the local news.
He was a man of faith and family, and made friends wherever he went. He was a great storyteller and conversationalist. His willingness to help others was well known and you could count on him to be there in a time of need. His contagious sense of humor, radiant spirit, and loving heart will be missed by his family and friends.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A private family Celebration of Life will be held. Memorial donations in Mark's name may be made to Samaritan's Purse.
