PEORIA - R. Darlene Fieldcamp, 78, of Peoria died at 6:20 p.m. Friday, April 2, 2010, at Lutheran Hillside Village in Peoria.
She was born Sept. 29, 1931, in Henry County, Ill., to William and Jessie Grace Webber Harbin. She married Dale Lee Fieldcamp on July 6, 1952, in Kewanee. He survives.
Also surviving are her daughters, Debra (Sidney) Partridge of Marquette Heights, Janet (Duane) Stafford of Champaign and Sandra (Shawn) Cannon of Mount Horeb, Wis.; her grandchildren, Cliff Partridge, Darren Hurd, Erica Miller, Jason Stafford, Joshua Stafford, Brittany Cannon, Dane Cannon, Derek Cannon and Melanie Cannon; six great-grandchildren; three nieces; and three nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister, Corrinne Hamon.
She attended Bradley University as an art major.
Darlene was a 50-plus-year member of University United Methodist Church in Peoria. She was an active member of the United Methodist Women, serving as president and committee chairwoman and caring for her family as a homemaker.
While her husband was in Japan with Caterpillar Inc., she served as PTO president of the American School in Tokyo.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at University United Methodist Church in Peoria. The Rev. Paul Arnold will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 5, at The Wilton Mortuary and one hour prior to services at the church Tuesday morning. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Tremont.
