PEORIA - Mr. Raymond Pointer Jr., 72, formerly of Peoria, IL, transitioned peacefully at 10 a.m. on Sunday, November 4, 2018, at his home in Memphis, Tennessee, with his wife by his side.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Lula Pointer.
Raymond was born on February 4, 1946, in Turrell, Arkansas.
Raymond was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran and served for three years.
Raymond worked at Caterpillar as a Factory worker in Peoria, IL, retiring after 35 years.
A visitation service will be held in Peoria, IL, at 10 a.m. Monday, November 19, 2018, at Simons Mortuary Chapel. Raymond will be buried at Camp Butler National Cemetery IN Springfield, IL, with military honors.
