Ronald Miller Obituary
BRIMFIELD - Ronald L. Miller, 78, of Brimfield, formerly of Dunlap, passed away at 12:10 a.m. Thursday, November 10, 2016, at Morton Terrace.
He was born on December 22, 1937, in Peoria to Rudolph and Harriet (Vaughn) Miller. He married Phyllis Scheeler on October 26, 1957, in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are two children, Tim (Diane) Miller of Brimfield and Dana (Todd) Williams of Sunrise Beach, MO; three grandchildren, Austin Miller, Michele (Matt) Cox and Karla (Josh) Begner; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dona (Bob) Dreier of Ontario, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert Miller.
Ron served in the National Guard and worked in the printing industry in the Peoria area, last working at Versa Press, Inc. in East Peoria, retiring in 2003 after 34 years of service. He enjoyed camping, fishing, deer hunting and boating.
Private family services will be held at Oak Hines Funeral Home in Elmwood, IL, on November 19, 2016. Cremation rites have been accorded and burial of the ashes will be at the Prospect Cemetery in Dunlap. Immediately following, we ask that friends join us for a celebration of life to be held at the American Legion in Brimfield from 1 to 5 p.m., with a lunch to be served. Please come in casual attire.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Central Illinois Chapter or the Peoria County Sheriff's Search and Rescue Program (for the Tracking Bracelet Program).
