Rosella Kimpling Obituary
WASHINGTON - Rosella "Rose" Kimpling, 90, of Washington passed away at 10:40 p.m. on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at Washington Senior Living.
She was born on August 12, 1930, in Claremont, IL, to Ray and Edna Roney Pauley. She married Gene R. Kimpling in Olney, IL, on June 27, 1948. He preceded her in death on November 6, 1987. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Ronald in 2018; four brothers, Fern, Willard, Millard and Escoe; and two sisters, Ethel and Mabel.
Surviving are two daughters, Lynn (Mike) Green of Peoria and Christine (Doug) Ackerman of Washington; two granddaughters, Jennifer Freeman of Creve Coeur and Deana Freeman of Peoria; great-granddaughter, Isabella Freeman of Peoria; and sister, Elzanna Lanter of Mattoon.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Peoria.
Rose was a homemaker all of her adult life and loved spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed.
Due to Covid restrictions, cremation has been accorded. A graveside service will be held at North Freedom Cemetery in Noble, IL, at a later date. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
