PEORIA - Sharon Elizabeth Wieland, 63, of Austin, Texas, formerly of Peoria, Ill., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Sharon was born April 8, 1951, in Peoria, Ill., to Donald and JeanAnn (Hopkins) Wieland.
She is survived by her father, Donald (Ruth) Wieland of Morton, Ill.; brothers, Craig (Denise) Zehr of Morton, Ill., and Gary Zehr of Bradenton, Fla.; her aunt, Char (Dan) Smith of Peoria, Ill.; uncle, Ed (Eileen) Bowers of Edwards, Ill.; three nieces; two great-nieces; and many cousins and friends.
Sharon was preceded in death by her mother, JeanAnn; and her grandparents.
Several years after graduating from Woodruff High School, she moved to Austin, Texas, and made that her home.
Sharon was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Austin, retiring in 2013.
There will be no services at this time.

I'm so sorry to see of Sharon's passing. I worked with Sharon many years ago at the old Montgomery Wards store, downtown Peoria. Sharon gave me my 1st dog, which I picked up off of Farmington Rd. May God Bless you at this time of your loss.
