Tiyo Sherman Obituary
PEORIA - Tiyo Larnell Sherman, 30, of 2511 W. Wardcliffe Drive, Peoria, Ill., passed away at 12:54 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2009, at Methodist Medical Center.
Tiyo was born June 25, 1978, in Chicago, Ill., to Larry Bush and Maxine (Sherman) Bush.
Tiyo is survived by his loving family, three brothers, Lawrence Williams, Lazarus Bush and Obadiah Bush, all of Peoria; four sisters, Kesha (Henry) Pates and Keana Bush, both of Chicago, and Ebony Sherman and Sheanniya Sherman, both of Peoria; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, who all adored him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, paternal grandfather and maternal grandparents.
Tiyo worked as a customer service representative at Afni for more than three years.
Tiyo was a member of Cornerstone Gospel Church, where he had been an usher.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009, at Resurrection Power Church at 2500 Madison St., with a visitation one hour before the service at 11 a.m. Pastor Odell Dyes will officiate. Tiyo will be laid to rest in Delta Memorial Gardens in Greenville, Miss., on Monday, March 2, 2009. The family will receive cards and condolences at 5010 Bradfordwood Circle.
Simons Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Dear Larry and Family,

What a wonderful son you raised, I worked with Tiyo and he was a caring and loving man. I can't remember a time when Tiyo didn't have a smile on his face. I will be praying for your family and I know that he is looking down on all of you.

I am very sad to hear about the passing of one of my dear friends Tiyo. To his family, I extend my condolences and sympathy in this time of grief. Tiyo was so kind hearted and funny he had such a good personality and I know he is in a better place now watching over all of us. We shared many laughs and good times together and for that I will never forget my friend Tiyo!!
