Joan Sue Kramer, 91, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 6:50 pm, Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. She was born on May 11, 1934, in Wabash, Indiana, to Donald and Helen (Eltzroth) Williams.
Joan was a 1952 graduate of Wabash High School and a 1955 graduate of the Lutheran School of Nursing. She married Richard Lee Kramer at the Wabash Street Methodist Church on May 28, 1955; he died December 26, 2019. Joan worked at Wabash County Hospital, also worked for Dr. William Pearson, and was the school nurse for M.S.D. of Wabash County. She enjoyed using Facebook, reading, planting flowers, going to lunch with her good friends, sitting on her porch, and especially attending all the kids' and grandkids' sporting events.
She is survived by four children, Jeff (Mary) Kramer of Wabash, Jenny Hoover of Newburgh, Indiana, Jody (Rollin) McCoart of Wabash, and Jon (Susan) Kramer of Huntington, Indiana, nine grandchildren; Chad McCoart and Andrea (Brad) Kaufman both of Wabash, Megan (Chris) Pappas of Huntington, Katherine (Ryan) Wagoner of Erie, Indiana, Doug Kramer of Muncie, Indiana, Christopher (Allie) Kramer of Fort Wayne, Matthew (Kristi Thomas) Kramer of Huntington, Alexandra (Frank) Roche of Oahu, Hawaii, and Dane Hoover of Newburgh, and 13 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, infant son, Richard Kent Kramer, great granddaughter, Edie Wagoner, sister, Sheila Williams, and infant sister, Mary Ann Williams.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with David Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Friends Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 1:00- 4:00 pm, Friday, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is 85 Hope.
