Adam Pozniak Obituary
Adam L. Pozniak, of Reinholds, Berks County, formerly of Cresco, died Sunday at home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Atholene (Kwolek) Pozniak who died in 2003.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Adolph and Alexandra Cholz.
He was a member of St. Anthony's Church, Throop, and St. Stephen Polish National Church, Reading.
Surviving are one son, Gerald Pozniak of Reinholds; one daughter, Patricia Heuwetter of Atlanta, Ga.; one brother, Stanley Pozniak of Berwick; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, Richard Pozniak; three sisters, Sophie Szakal, Alice Kropiewnski and Ann O'Neil; and two brothers, Joseph Pozniak and John Pozniak.
Funeral services will be held at 8:45 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at Nicholas Chomko Funeral Home, 1132 Prospect Ave., Scranton. The Rev. Mark Honhart, pastor, will serve as celebrant to a Mass at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony's Church, Throop. Interment will be in Holy Family Cemetery, Throop.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, at the funeral home.
