I was in Albert`s first band,The Coachmen, lol,in Hackettstown high school.Albert plated bass and sang, but he was a drummer first, and a good one.He had a brand new set of silver sparkle Ludwigs in 1966, and generously brought them to the HHS band room and let the Ringo wnnabes play them.Always a gentleman and mature beyond his years.

HAPPY Holidays we missed you SO very much on Thanksgiving your dinner prayer was aborted in rememberance of you, and your vibrant and loving messages of the past so many years was missed purpously in a "moment of silence" of sorts.
It will be hard to start to "take on" the simplest of Holiday traditions, that we all took for granted you did. From dinner prayers to trying to keep the happiest of moods during the stressful times of the season.
I think of you all the time and miss you greatly. That is a sentiment that everyone that was lucky enough to know you and more lucky to be family /and or closest of friends can understand and live with the empty feeling of not being physically able too see or talk to you for your interesting conversations or your musical guidance.
I guess I'm trying to say Merry Christmas, we all miss you and love you down here.It won't be easy but we all will be together trying to help each other through this tough time as a family, missing the keystone of our lives and family during this holiday season and the rest of our lives. Merry Christmas I'm sure you're up there playing and singing in the angels choir. We all will be listening for your thundering bass lines and booming voice in every Christmas carol .
Again we miss you and love you very much
Your son and his family

Can’t You See…
The Montague of songs you left in my heart

Dad it has been over a week Since You’ve Been Gone you’re Free as a Bird now to become a Shooting Star. We all miss you greatly down here; it may have been years since you were being A Highway Star, a Jukebox Hero, Living after Midnight, and Playing in a rockin band. I know rockin is properly spelt rocking but I’m trying to put in Rock God terms so that when you are up there playing with them all, On The Dark Side of the Moon, Truckin across from one heavenly arena to the next. On the way to The House Of The Rising Sun, just remember to say to yourself .I’m not cabin dreaming I’m Your Captain of this vessel and I’m no longer feeling sick so it’s time to cross the Smoke On The Water and not worry about the Fire In The Sky, and time to head back to the port of your birth. So take your Three Steps, put the one foot on the platform the other on the train and go back to the House of the Rising Sun. Unfortunately we have lived The Cats in the Cradle almost to a tee, You where not just A Singer In A Rock and Roll Band. You where also a loving Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather, uncle, and a friend to many, and will be missed, but I just wanted to say NAH NAH HEY HEY Goodbye. Wish You Were Here, Have a Cigar enjoy your Slow Ride, Take It Easy, stay away from the Bad Co., on the way to Paradise City, until I see you again. You’ll recognize me. I will be the one Back In Black.

My family and I will miss you greatly, but we take comfort in knowing you will be in better company as you are Knocking on Heavens Door. After you’re done climbing The Stairway To Heaven, your earthly existence may have to Fade To Black, but your Memory Remains The Same. I thank you for all the hard lessons in life you helped teach me on the way to becoming A Simple Man. I know that I was far from easy to deal with most of my life, but you stood your ground and tried to do the best you could do for me. I hope you realize how much, I can now appreciate since having my own kids these lessons you taught me. Hopefully, I can pass on some of your wisdom to my kids

Love always Your Son,
Albie

Al was like a member of my own family for as long as I can remember, I guess the Legion will do that. But as I got older and worked with Al, he became a very good friend to me and I was saddened to hear of his passing. My heartfelt sympathies go out to all that cared for him.
