Where does one start, or try to sum up, a lifetime of memories that have been shared with my Uncle Dusty. Both he and Aunt Dotty, have been such a loving part of my entire lifetime, that just a few words are not eloquent enough. As a child we spent summers in the Poconos, and even a few winters. I always recall with amazement,Uncle Dusty's train garden that he kept up year round. Hearing stories about Rodeo's and learning later about his part in the training of "Trigger". I have memories, of him dressed in beautiful Indian Costume, performing traditional Indian dances. When I was a little girl, I used to think he was a real Indian, telling my friends back home that my Uncle was a Real Indian Warrior. Funny what thoughts go thru our youthful minds. I always remember the pride my Uncle had in serving his country. Not knowing until now the full extent of time, and honors in his service. When my parents moved to Florida, to retire next door to them both, my sons, now grown, also have memories to share and reflect on, visiting their loving Grandparents, and spending time with their Great Uncle and Great Aunt. My family and friends cherish the personalized wooden houses I always ordered from Uncle Dusty and Aunt Dot, along with other handmade wooden treasures. Every Christmas, my favorite thing to do, is to unravel my carefully put away Angels, and other "Flying W" wooden masterpieces, to put out for the season. Always they bring back a flood of memories, of my cherished and loving God Parents, my Dear Uncle and Aunt.
"The Angels are always near to those who are grieving, to whisper to them that their loved ones are safe in the hand of God." ~Quoted in The Angels' Little Instruction Book by Eileen Elias Freeman, 1994, "In the night of death, hope sees a star, and listening love can hear the rustle of a wing." ~Robert Ingersoll, & "He spake well who said that graves are the footprints of Angels." ~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. These are but a few quotes of sympathy that I find solace in. Aunt Dotty, Jody, Lance, Vija, Scott, and Julia, I know there are no words, or quotes, that can express all the sympathy and prayers being sent your way, but what I do know, is that Angels carried Uncle Dusty far into the heavens above, where as he is in the Loving arms of God now. When I look into the night sky, there is but another Star in the sky now, that twinkles and shines brightly. How lucky I was , and how privilged I am to be able to say he was my Uncle. Sending lots of Sympathy and prayers, for God to Comfort you all!God Bless, Peace, and Lots of Love Always to all ! "A human life is a story told by God." quoted from
Hans Christian Andersen. My Dear Uncle Dusty, What a beautiful loving story for God to tell us all, in leaving the legacy of your life, as imprints on our hearts and minds. WIth lots of love from your Loving Niece "Sally"
