Please accept my condolences and sorrow for Dave's passing.

I worked with Dave for a couple of years when my Dad, Carl A. Texter, Sr., employed him at Pocono Landscape Service. I was 13 at the time. I looked up to Dave and learned a lot of life's lessons from him.

I also became close to Dave because he and my late brother, Curtis, shared a house on Seese Hill and Curtis worked with him for a time on the spackling and dry wall business.

Dave later did the spackling and dry wall work when my father built his house in Paradise Township.

Dave's brother, Tim, also remained a close friend to me throughout elementary, middle and high school.

I know Dave made the world a bit better in his 57 years. He died much too young, but cancer doesn't care about a person's age or what they have meant to family and friends.

I know Dave influenced me in many positive ways and helped me become the person that I am. I will always have good thoughts and memories of him.

I know he went to to a greater place.

Please accept my good wishes.

My dear Ellen, Tim and family members...my heartfelt sympathy to all of you. Dave was an old, old friend from grade school, and my heart sank when I read this news. Please know that you are all in my thoughts at this sad time in your lives.

My sympathy to the Family. I knew Dave for a short time when he was in Canadensis. I did the plumbing at your house and he made an impression on me as a kind and trusting guy. Just someone that you felt comfortable with and easy to talk to. I actually thought of him the other dayas I passed your old house. And remembered that south western theme you had it decorated in. Hope you spend eternity in peace.
