Edward J. Mastin, 88, of Effort, died Friday in the Palmerton Hospital.
He was the husband of the late Viola (Robinson) Mastin.
Born in Bayonne, N.J., he was the son of the late Edward and Eugenie Mastin.
He had been a foreman at E.A. Williams & Son in Carlstadt, N.J., for 20 years, retiring in 1982.
He was of the Catholic faith.
He is survived by three daughters, Dorothy Quartararo of Albrightsville, Jeanne Molenaar of Effort and Kathryn Nicholson of Ridgewood, N.J.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday from the Kresge Funeral Home, Route 209, Brodheadsville, with the Rev. William McCawley officiating. Cremation will take place in the H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.

We had the pleasure of meeting Ed at Brookmont, he was my Father's roommate and buddy.
