Floyd Pugh Obituary

Floyd E. "Sam" Pugh, 47, of Bartonsville, died Wednesday morning, Aug. 26, upon arrival at Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, after being stricken at home.

Born on Jan. 10, 1962, in East Stroudsburg, he was a lifetime resident of Monroe County. He was a self-employed contractor.

He is survived by his mother, Irene Yeisley) Pugh of Bartonsville; father, Floyd Pugh of Sun Valley; four children, Elizabeth Pugh of Palmerton, Sunshine Pugh of Tannersville and Samuel Pugh and Christopher Pugh, both of Pocono Pines; a brother, Dale Pugh and his wife, Arlene, of Sun Valley; a sister, Jacqueline Pugh of Sun Valley; a stepsister, Denise Powers of Stroudsburg; his former wife, Susan Pugh of Tannersville and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

There will be a viewing from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 31, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main St., Stroudsburg. The funeral service will begin at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and will be followed by burial in Stroudsburg Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family c/o the funeral home.

A word for my Uncle Sam,
