James A. Meinweiser, 39, of Cresco, passed away Thursday, March 10, at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Carol (nee Clark). They would have celebrated 20 years of marriage in June.
Born April 26, 1965, in East Stroudsburg, he was the son of the late Frank D. and Lois Meinweiser.
Jim worked as property manager for Bright Creek Park Association for the past seven years. Prior to that, he was employed as a carpenter for L.E. Shoesmith & Son for 15 years.
Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman who also enjoyed trap shooting and riding his ATV. He was a member for 21 years, and past president of, Stoney Run Rod & Gun Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Margaret M. Meinweiser and Daniel B. Meinweiser, both at home; brother, William and his wife, Dianna, of Millington, Tenn.; aunt and uncle, Doris and Jay Urice of Cresco; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carey Clark of Reeders, Roy and Sheila Clark of Cresco, Jim and Jennifer Clark of Bartonsville, Jeff and Ally Clark of Cresco, and Mary Clark of Tobyhanna; and several nieces and nephews, Carey, Brandi, Cody, Cole, Jacob, Joshua, Miranda, Ariel, Gregory and Joseph.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 19, at United Methodist Church of Canadensis. The Rev. Russell E. Walters will officiate. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
Friends and relatives may call from 10 a.m. until time of the services on Saturday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA/Hospice of Monroe County, 502 Independence Road, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301; or American Cancer Society, RR 2 Box 2138, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.

Our deepest sympathy to the Meinweiser family. Jim was our son's first baseball coach and we shared many hours at baseball and softball games as our children wre often on the same team. Jim never missed a game. Jim was a devoted father who will be missed by many.
