Larry Read Obituary

Larry Read Sr., 65, of East Stroudsburg, died on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at VNA Hospice House of Monroe County in Smithfield Township.

Born on Nov. 9, 1942, in Phillipsburg, N.J., he was the son of the late Raymond and Florence (Parr) Read.

He was employed as an electrician for IBEW Electrical Union Local 367 in Easton.

He is survived by a daughter, Christina Maness of East Stroudsburg; a son, Larry Read Jr. of Brodheadsville; two sisters, Ella Horne of Virginia Beach, Va., and Linda Kohler of Saylorsburg; three brothers, Floyd Read of Pen Argyl, Harold Read of Delaware, N.J., and Robert Read of East Stroudsburg; and a granddaughter, Kodi Maness.

Calling hours will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, at the Reed/Gaffney Funeral Home, 4 Lillian Lane, Village of Johnsonville, Bangor, PA 18013. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17, in the funeral home. Burial will be in Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Blairstown, N.J.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA/Hospice of Monroe County, 502 Independence Road, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301.
