Marie Kranepool Obituary

Marie R. Kranepool, 90, of Dingmans Ferry, died Tuesday, Sept. 23, at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton.

Formerly of Brooklyn, N.Y., Marie was a 40-year resident of Birchwood Lakes and a recent resident of Brighton at Julia Ribaudo Nursing Home, Lake Ariel.

She was a talented seamstress who enjoyed crafting for the Ambulance Corps, Bingo (especially since she always won), family card games, cooking for her family, decorating for the holidays and her beloved home and garden. She loved spending time talking and laughing with her friends at Birchwood Lakes and Julia Ribaudo's. She celebrated many of her 90 birthdays at Mt. Haven Restaurant in Milford with her family and friends.

Survivors include her son Harry A. Kranepool and his wife, Alfia; her daughter Marie J. Bober and her husband, Ray; and granddaughters Marie Ann and Marisa Bober. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at St. Vincent DePaul Church, 101 St. Vincent Drive, Milford. The Rev. Paul Mullen will officiate. Burial will take place in Delaware Cemetery, Dingmans Ferry. Friends may call at the Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 W. Harford St., Milford, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26.
