Peter A. Gullo, 88, a retired salesman and manager for Sears, died Tuesday, June 7, at Cornwall Hospital.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of Peter and Michelina Gullo. He later moved to Stroudsburg, where he resided with his beloved wife, Cecelia, for 52 years. They have resided in New Windsor, N.Y., for the past five years.
Peter was a lifetime member of the American Legion. A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Antietam and USS Bunker Hill. He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ.
Peter was loved by all and will be missed by many.
In addition to his wife, Cecelia, at home, he is survived by daughters, Patricia Luongo and her husband, John; and Elizabeth Blick and her husband, Jay; one son, Peter Gullo, and his wife, Fran, in Florida; two stepsons, Manny Cachia and his wife, Connie, of Lindenhurst, N.Y., and Vincent Cachia of Woodland, Calif.; two sisters, Catherine McCormick and Antoinette Quintro; grandchildren William Mackey, Jennifer Mackey, John Luongo, Melissa Luongo, Peter Mackey, Nicole Luongo, Timothy Mackey, James Blick, John Blick, Peter Gullo, Kristen Gullo, Scott Fischer, Coral Nocie, Anthony, Joseph Glen, and Lisa; several nieces and nephews; and great-grandchildren, Michael Nocie, Nicolas Nocie, and Samantha Cachia. He was predeceased by daughter Carol-Ann; son-in-law William Mackey; and one great-grandson, Thomas Cachia.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, June 11, at Coloni Funeral Home, 3001 Route 9W, New Windsor, N.Y.
The family will be present to receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 10, at the funeral home.
