Peter C. Prell, 74, of Hummelstown, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loving family on Friday, February 19, 2021, after a long and courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson's. He was the husband of Georgia K. (Miller) Prell with whom he shared 46 years of marriage.
Born on April 9, 1946 in Teaneck, NJ, Peter was the son of the late Richard and Florence (Battali) Prell. In addition to his loving wife, Peter leaves behind his daughter Erica, wife of Kevin Frack from Stroudsburg PA and their children Kaitlyn and Kendra and his son Peter C Prell and his wife Laura from Pottstown PA and their children Sophie and Fiona. Peter is also survived by his three sisters, Marilyn Truscott of Bath, Pamela Somogyi of Washington, NJ and Karen Gingrich of Easton; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Larry Prell.
Peter was raised in Canadensis and attended Barrett School District graduating from Pocono Mountain High School in 1964. After high school Peter served in the National Guard. He had a successful career working for Bell Telephone, AT&T and Lucent Technologies for 33 years before retiring.
Peter was a strong, caring individual known for his smile and sense of humor that will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure to have known him or been loved by him. He loved kids and coached YMCA Softball for several years. Peter was an avid golfer having played in numerous golf leagues. He loved his Steelers and was a skilled craftsman having renovated numerous homes.
Most of all, Peter loved his family. He was proud of his children and adored his four granddaughters. His smiles were the biggest when his family was near.
Private services will take place at the convenience of the family; with a public memorial celebration to be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial remembrances be made to: Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Road, S.W. Lilburn, GA 30047

Pete you don´t know how much you are missed. I remember our talks when the kids were little, and I had so much going on you were always there. I know you´re up there with Uncle Dick, Mom, Aunt Joyce, Julian and you´re all watching down on us you´re all our angels and then we miss you all so much. Not easy without any of you. You´re still part of our every day life and we think about you all the time.

Uncle Pete, in my memories of him, was kind, always smiling and laughing. Unfortunately I did not have the opportunity to get to know my Uncle very well. I remember how much he loved his wife and adored his children. Georgia, Erica and Pete I’m sorry for your loss. You were lucky to have him.
