Robert Fox Obituary

Robert K. Fox, 55, of Glen Mills and formerly of Fort Worth, Texas, and Springfield, died on Sunday, Sept. 17, at his residence. He was the husband of Mary Ann Cloke Fox and they married on April 8, 1978.

Born on Aug. 13, 1951, he was the son of the late George J. Fox, Jr. and Agnes Carr Fox.

He was a mechanical engineer for Boeing Co. in Ridley Park from 1973 to 1998. He worked on the V-22 Osprey in conjunction with the Bell Boeing co-operation both in Texas and Ridley Park facilities.

He was a 1969 graduate of Cardinal O'Hara and a 1973 graduate of Villanova University with a bachelor of science degree in engineering.

He was a member of St. Agnes Church in West Chester. He was a former member of the St. Francis of Assisi Church in Springfield. He was also a member of the American Helicopter Museum of West Chester.

He owned and operated his own photography business during his college years.

He enjoyed gardening and carpentry work in both the rough and finish work.

He and his wife built their own house in the Pocono Summit area and resided there for part of the year.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four brothers, George J. and his wife, Julie Fox III of Cambridge, Md., John C. Fox of Woodbridge, Va., David G. Fox of Stroudsburg, and William and his wife, Cathy Fox of Martinez, Ga.

Preceding him in death is a son, Justin J. Fox, who passed away on Sept. 15, 2004.

Calling hours will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at the Frank C. Videon Funeral Home, 2001 Sproul Road, Broomall, PA 19008. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 21.

Memorial donations may be made to the Gift of Life Donor Program, 2000 Hamilton St., Philadelphia, PA 19130 or to the American Helicopter Museum, Brandywine Airport, West Chester, PA 19380.
