Robert Hicks Obituary
Robert Hicks, 59, of East Stroudsburg, passed away Tuesday, April 27, at the VNA Hospice in St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. He was the husband of Donna J. (Fuller) Hicks. They observed their 23rd wedding anniversary in October 2003.
Born on June 26, 1944, in Passaic, N.J., he was the son of the late Robert and Fannie (Purugolski) Hicks. A resident of East Stroudsburg for 23 years, he previously lived in Nutley, N.J.
He graduated from Nutley, N.J., High School, class of 1962.
Retiring in 2003, Robert was employed as a chemical supervisor for Hoffman-LaRoche Company, Belvidere, N.J. for 40 years.
He attended First Presbyterian Church, Hackettstown, N.J.
A veteran of the Korean Conflict, he served in the U.S. Air Force.
Robert was a devoted husband, dad, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Jay M. Hicks and Robert H. Hicks, both at home; one daughter, Sharon A. Stofik and her husband Mark of East Stroudsburg; one granddaughter, Megan Stofik; mother-in-law, Jean Kimbrough of Broadway, N.J.; brother-in-law, Bruce Fuller of Broadway, N.J.; sisters-in-law, Jeanne Fuller of West Caldwell, N.J., Gail Tweedlie of North Reading, Mass.; Lynn Deisenroth of Wenatchee, Wash., Nancy Rwehart of Mount Bethel, Wendy Ho of Mount Bethel, Pembrook, Fla., and Laurie Piell of Lopatlong Township, N.J.; and many nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at Rupell Funeral Home, 465 Memorial Parkway, Phillipsburg, N.J. A cremation will follow the service.
Memorial donations may be made in trust to First Presbyterian Church, 298 Main St., Hackettstown, NJ 07840.

Your father was always very nice to me. Always had a smile on his face and was fun to joke with. I will miss him alot. My parents will too. They enjoyed the chats that they had with him. My dad always appreciated the tools that Mr. Hicks lent my dad to use. They were nieghbors for over 18 years. He will be greatly missed by my family.
