Jared Andrews Obituary
PONTOTOC - William Jared Andrews, 48, passed away, at home on August 22, 2025. Jared was born on November 25, 1976, Thanksgiving Day, to William Roy and Jane Andrews. He graduated from Pontotoc High School in 1995. Afterwards, he attended Itawamba Community College. Jared was married to Amanda (Mandy) Andrews, and a loving father to Zoe Jane Andrews. Throughout his life Jared was known for so many things. If you knew Jared, you knew his humor. He knew how to make anyone laugh. From a dad joke to a movie quote, he was able to crack a giggle or a smile to everyone in the room. Jared enjoyed the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, and gardening. He had a gift for growing things. With a green thumb and a caring heart, he nurtured both plants and people. He also had a deep love for music. Growing up he performed several times singing and winning so many hearts of his crowds. His daughter always asked, "Daddy, how do you know the words to every song?" If you knew Jared, you also knew his love for Pearl Jam. A lifelong Pearl Jam fan, their songs were woven into the rhythm of his days and will forever remind us of him. While he will be remembered for his green thumb and his love of Pearl Jam, nothing compared to the love he had for his daughter Zoe Jane. She was his pride, his joy, and the center of his world. He cherished every moment with her-whether it was singing their favorite songs, cheering her on in her achievements, or simply making homemade ice cream, apple dumplings, or chess squares. His greatest happiness came from watching her grow, and his legacy of love will continue to live on in her heart.
He was preceded in death by his father William Roy Andrews. His grandparents J. W. and Earnestine Dillard Pickering, Roy Elliott and Mary Francis Bowles Andrews.
