Mark Phillips Obituary

Louise Olson passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, after a period of declining health. Louise, originally from Manchester, NH, was a long-time resident of Port Charlotte, FL.

Although she worked in the manufacturing industry for many years, Louise is best known as a caregiver. She touched many lives as a domestic caregiver who loved every child and pet in her care.

She had many interests, but she is most remembered for her love of the outdoors. She loved camping with family, swimming, ice skating, beachcombing for shells, and crocheting cherished items for family and friends.

Louise is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Bryan Olson; his brothers John and Peter Olson, and her siblings, Irene Couture, Dick Lafreniere, Andrew Lafreniere, and Leo Lafreniere.

Louise will be deeply missed by her family and is survived by her four children and their spouses Carolyn Trudeau (Royal-deceased), Mary Boily (Steven), Nancy Phillips (Mark), and Kenneth Olson (Amy); grandchildren Royal Trudeau II, Matthew Trudeau, Justin Boily, Shannon Frank, Emily Bacha, Eryne Phillips, Chris Fisk, Angela Fisk, Heather Gates and Graham Fisk, and nine great-grandchildren.

In keeping with Louise's wishes, there will be no public service. The immediate family will gather at a future date to spread her ashes at which time she will be reunited with Bryan.

Donations in her honor can be made at the Animal Welfare League of Charlotte County.
