PORT CLINTON: Dawn Marie (Myers) Helsley, 56, of Port Clinton and formerly of Porterville, CA, passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 at St Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.
She was born July 2, 1960 in Los Angeles, CA to Rose Marie (Woodruff) and Ivan Lowell Myers, Sr. Dawn had worked at Mon Ami Restaurant and loved to spend time with her family. She was an avid bowler and loved to ride her motor cycle.
Dawn is survived by her mother, Rose; daughter, Melinda (Nikki) (Myers) Ellinger of Port Clinton; brother, Ivan Lowell Myers, Jr., of Oak Harbor; sister ,Sandra (Roy) Mosley of Oak Harbor; half brothers, Gary and Randy Myers both of Arizona; step-daughter, Chris Helsley of Utah; grandchildren, Alexander Cruz, Jr, Christopher Issac Cruz, Clarissa Corona, Jayson Helsley & Cami Broomhead Helsley; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father; husband, Michael Helsley; sister, Julie Mandeville; brother, Lyman Myers; and half brother, Randy Myers.
Friends may call 10am, Friday, December 23, 2016 until time of service at 12 noon at the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, 216 Washington St, Port Clinton. Online condolences may be shared with the family at walkerfuneralhomes.com.

Been 8 years now, you left us. For a better places? Who really know. All I know is I really really miss you. There is no one left now, to help me with mom. And I know she misses you dearly too. Not a day goes by we don't think of all 4 of you. It hurts my heart deeply that you are all gone. I have no one left to talk too.
You have another grandchild. I know you would love her deeply. Mom gets to see her once in awhile. As does your other granddaughter is all grown up and off to college. Hard to believe. Life does move on.. I miss you so much. Love you....

Not a day goes by that I don't think about you, Lowell, Lyman and Julie. I miss you all so much. My heart will never mend. There such a hole In my life with you all gone.
Our mom is so lost with you all gone also.

Dawn met you when your brother Lyman passed a while ago. We also chatted on Messenger a little. There is one thing I can truly say is you had a way of being a better person on your own, cause..cousins just don't go they go with style. they go with grace, they go where motorcycles run all over the place. I hope you are taking family on a motorcycle race high in God's world where there is no end of space though your seat will be empty and your roar will be low Everyone will miss you far far below. May Gods hand guide you to his loving place..

Rose, Sandy, and all of Dawn's family; you are all being lifted up in prayer. I hope that by sharing some memories, the pain of this great loss will be eased. I will always remember Dawn's infectious laugh, her positive attitude, and strength. A very fond memory is of New Year's Day Ride - a big group of us ventured out on our motorcycles with the goal of riding at least 100 miles. We were all bundled up to the hilt. It was so very cold. I don't think we made it 25 miles! We had a fun day in spite of the cold. Some other memories are; talking for hours on end about everything, shooting pool, trying to teach me to ride, betting her that she would not be able to eat a full order of Trash Potatoes - she did. RIP my friend. I will miss you until we meet again.
