John Twarek Obituary
Dayton - TWAREK, John R., age 81, of Dayton, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018. He was born in Port Clinton, OH on January 17, 1937, the son of John and Bette (Gdovicak) Twarek. He was a graduate of Port Clinton High School and Heidelberg College, where he played football and baseball. He was employed 37 years at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base as a Computer Analyst. He was a sports enthusiast who loved to participate, coach and watch, especially Notre Dame, of which he was a club member. He enjoyed listening to his favorite music, polka, as well as spending time outdoors and gardening. John is survived by his sons: John (Jennifer), Joe (Wanda), Rocky (Lori) and Jim (Melissa); grandchildren: Brian (Britni), Colin, Sharlee, Luke, Joshua, Shayna, Elijah, Jacob and Elana; sister Betty Joy (Dennis) Ohm of Dearborn Michigan. He is preceded in death by his wife Sharon L. Twarek, wife Barbara A. Twarek, father and mother John and Bette Twarek. Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, September 13, 2018, at the Tobias Funeral Home - Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Ave., Dayton OH 45429. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, September 14, 2018, at St. Helen Parish, 605 Granville Pl., Dayton OH 45431. Buriel will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Donations may be made in John's memory to Alzheimer Society or Dayton Hospice. Condolences can be expressed to the family at www.tobiasfuneralhome.com.

Jim and family, I am sorry for your loss. Your dad was always a wonderful man. I remember him coming to our St. Helen's basketball games, even when the Browns were playing in the AFC Championship.May peace be with you and your family.

So sorry about John, he and my Brother Ron were best friends!!!!!!! I always loved to be around the two of them talking about good times in Gypsum!!!!!
