Ricardo "Rick" Salinas

Panama City Beach, FL: Ricardo "Rick" Salinas, 63, of Panama City Beach, FL passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2013.

He was born in San Juan, Texas on September 20, 1950, the son of Ambrosio and Maria San Juana Ramirez Salinas.

Rick proudly served in the US Army and was a Vietnam Veteran.

Rick is survived by his brothers, Ambrosio Salinas (Amelia) of Salem, NJ, Roberto "Bob" Salinas (Carol) of Arvada, CO; sister, San Juanita Lopez (Ephraim) of Panama City, FL; daughter, Michelle Salinas Fritz of Pueblo, CO; son, Angelo Coy of Colorado Springs, CO; three nieces; a nephew; and extended family and friends.

A funeral mass was held at 3 p.m. on Monday, December 9th at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Panama City. Burial will be at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, FL at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Rick at USO.org, which services include Operation Enduring Care that assist our wounded warriors.

Rick and I had recently touched base again after many, many years. It was good to talk to him after all those years. It is hard to lose a brother as I have lost mine recently. I am sure he will be missed. He had a good spirit. Rest in Peace Ric!!!
