BILLY GIVENS
LUCASVILLE — Myron William "Billy" Givens, 72, of Lucasville, died Tuesday, Oct. 07, 2014, at Southern Ohio Medical Center.
He was born June 19, 1942, in Beaver, a son of the late Myron Brown Givens and Hazel Inez Brown Givens Roush.
He was a retired mechanic for Pepsi Cola and a US Navy veteran, serving on the USS Forrestal, a ship he loved dearly. Billy loved music, especially his electric guitar.
He is survived by his fiancé, Anna Lawwill of Lucasville; one brother, Michael Givens of Connersville, Ind.; four sisters, Betty Burton of Tacoma, Washington, Juanita Liggins of Xenia, Dottie Fuller of Pataskala, and Sandra Penn of Lucasville; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, James and Robert Givens; two sisters, Joyce Ann Givens and Marilyn Wilburn.
Military rites will be provided by the William A. Baker and James F. Irwin Posts of the American Legion at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014, in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast. There will be no visitation.
McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville is handling arrangements.
