NEW BOSTON - Manley L. Craig, 87, of New Boston passed away Friday November 12, 2021 at SOMC Hospice Center. He was born November 15, 1933 in Portsmouth a son of the late Alma and Clara Belle (Penrod) Craig.
Louie was the former owner of Craig's Body shop in New Boston. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a longtime member of the Scioto Antique Motor Club and Iron City Automobile Club.
He is survived by a son, Jeffery (Beverly) Craig of Sciotoville; daughter, Dianna (Eric) Valentine of Wheelersburg; former wife and companion, Anita Rockwell Craig; grandchildren, Jeffery (Lacosta) Craig of Portsmouth, Jason Craig of New Boston, Joshua (Erica) Craig of Columbus, Lindsey (Robert) Slaughter of Grayson, KY, Evan (Kate) Staggs of Clermont, FL and Eric (Christine) Staggs of Jacksonville, NC and several nieces, nephews and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Martin Craig, October 24, 1997, four brothers, Russ, Urcel, Harold, Wetzel Craig; sisters Emma Matiz and Carolyn Miller.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday November 19, 2021 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with military graveside honors by James Dickey Post 23, American Legion. Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM Thursday and one hour prior to services on Friday at the funeral home.
