Rick Sturgill Obituary
MCDERMOTT—Craig Richard "Rick" Sturgell, 70, of McDermott, formerly of Lucasville, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at his residence.
He was born October 24, 1953 in Portsmouth, a son of the late Robert and Irene Euton Sturgell.
Rick was a retired truck driver from the Scioto County Engineer's Road Department, a Northwest High School graduate, and a long time member of the Gahm's Racing Team.
He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Cassandra Boyd; and his sister, Vicky Sturgell.
Rick is survived by his daughters, Alice (Eric) Mayo of Orlando, FL and Rachel (Doug) Avery of McDermott; one son, Luke (Amanda) Lilly of Columbus; six grandchildren, Taylor Carter, Emma Sammons, Ella Sammons, Madlyne Mayo, Audry Mayo, and Collin Mayo; his brother, Robert (Donna) Sturgell; and his sister, Rebecca (Randy) Crabtree of McDermott.
Visitation will be held 11:30 until 1 p.m. Saturday, November 18, 2023 at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville. Graveside services will follow in Garvin Cemetery with George Vastine officiating.
