Walter Agustus Partlow Jr.

WALTER AGUSTUS "PETE" PARTLOW JR., died Saturday, November 8, 2025 at SOMC Hospice. He was born May 8, 1938 in Portsmouth to the late Walter Agustus and Martha Lenore Greer Partlow.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Edward "Tom" Partlow and a sister Jackie Pass.
Pete was a United States Marine Corp Veteran. He retired from Glockner Chevrolet and his own business Partlow Auto Sales. He was also a member of Christ's Community Church.
Pete is survived by his wife Pamela Pack Partlow, whom he married on August 26, 1972, a son, Cory Partlow, a daughter, Nelia (Bobby) Hunt, sisters; Sharon Harris and Linda Wight, 4 grandchildren; Christian Hudson, Chase Hudson, Ashley Hudson and Ashton Hunt, 4 great grandchildren; CJ "Little Jimmy" Hudson, Carley Womack, Bryton Underwood and J'lee Craton, along with a sister in law Sheila Riggs who took care of him, and a friend like a brother Ted Smith.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Christ's Community Church with Scott Rawlings officiating . Interment will be in Ormes Cemetery with military graveside rites by the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday starting at Noon.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth.
