WARREN STEPHENS JR.
MCDERMOTT —Warren Stephens Jr., 87, of McDermott, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Heartland of Portsmouth.
He was born February 5, 1931 in Portsmouth, a son of the late Warren and Kathryn Henderson Stephens Sr.
Warren was a retired Painter in the Chemrock Department for Waller Brothers Stone in McDermott, a 1949 Otway High School graduate, and a US Army Korean War veteran.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Juda Mae Adkins Stephens, November 10, 2009; one son, Terry Stephens; two brothers, Jack and Ralph Stephens; and one sister, Ruth Eichenlaub.
Warren is survived by one daughter, Donna (Larry) Webster of Portsmouth; one son, Scott (Stephanie) Stephens of Pinehurst, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Ashton, Alexander, Reid, and Emma Stephens; and three sisters, Janet Adkins and Janice Lawhorn, both of Lucasville, and Shelby Henry of Portsmouth.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville with Rod Brower officiating. Burial will follow in Rushtown Cemetery where graveside military rites will be performed by the William A. Baker and James F. Irwin Posts of the American Legion. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, and an hour before the funeral Wednesday.
