It was about this time last year Tony called me up. "Blackhawks tickets," he said enthusiastically. We bought a six-game package and watched the Blackhawks' last three months before their playoff run (Red Wings, arrrgh). Tony and I had a great time at those games, and I can't thank him enough for calling me up, the conversation-filled commutes from The Times to the UC, and his friendship. I can't thank him enough for Hound Dog Taylor and the "Furlough Blues." Good stuff, Tony.

This is such a shock. Tony was always so full of life and had such a keen interest in everything. My heart goes out to all his family and friends, especially his beloved mother. So terribly sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I was a neighbor and friend from grade school and junior high. Tony and I traded football cards. He got all my Bears cards, and he generously gave me all his Viking cards. We played a lot of football, baseball and "kick the can" with the other neighborhood kids. Tony was a good friend. Very sad to hear of your loss Mrs. Parker.

I remember Tony as being such a caring and loving individual. Unfortunately like so many others in our lives we had lost contact, but I will never forget the wonderful person Tony was. God has taken you into his perfect kingdom and may He bless all of your loved ones especially your Mom.

My friend, you will be sorely missed. You were one of the best reporters and you listened to people! You were the first to report my family when we were going thru tough times. We thank you for that.
I often think of you. May God Bless you and your family, will be praying for all. Bye my friend RIP

I was a good friend and tennis teammate of Tony's in high school. We spent hours across the ping pong table from each other listening to tunes and figuring out life in his basement. Tony approached everything in life with gusto - and you could see it in the way he hit a tennis ball or tackled a Godfather's pizza. This is a terribly sad day and my heart goes out to "Ma" Parker - the perfect hostess.
