Delores "Lil Lois" Lane

DELORES LANE "LIL LOIS" Age 55 of Gary passed away Monday, December 29, 2003. She attended Kynette Methodist Church and graduated from Lincoln High School, Class of 1966 and attended Philander Smith College. She retired from National Steel in 2003 after 20 years of employment. Preceded in death by parents, Johnnie & Eloise Washington. She leaves to cherish her precious memories, loving husband, Joseph Lane; children: Robin Sawyer of Austin, TX, Aaron Sawyer III of Gary; stepdaughter, Carmisha Lane of Gary; brothers, Floyd (Hazel) Washington of Junction City, KS, Eugene (Katie) Washington of Houston, TX, James McKinney of Gary, Eric (Monica) Washington of Gary, Allen (Joanna) Scott of Atlanta, GA and Kevin (Donna) Washington of Gary, IN; 1 sister, Deborah McKinney of Minneapolis, MN; stepmother, Dolores Washington of Gary; 5 grandchildren; very special friend, Aaron Sawyer Jr.; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services Friday, January 2, 2004, 2 p.m. at Smith, Bizzell, Warner & Son, "Your Golden Rule Funeral Home", 4209 Grant St. Visitation day of services from 9 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
