Ernest Raymond Evans, was born December 23, 1945 in Ripley, Mississippi to Mary and Jodie Evans, Sr., he passed away Monday, Sept. 25, 2017. Ernest was the eighth child of twelve children. He served in the United Stated Army for two years. Ernest worked as a mechanic. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Jodie Evans, Sr., brothers, Rogers, Andrew, Jimmy, Charles and David Evans; sisters, Sallie, Juanita and Vella. He leaves behind to cherish his memories loving son, James Evans; brothers, Jodie, Jr. and Robert Evans; sister, Sarah (James) Bradford all of Gary, IN and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation Friday, October 6, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. until funeral service at 12:00 p.m at Smith, Bizzell & Warner Chapel 4209 Grant Street.
