Elder Frances Olivia Ray-Davis, age 72, of Gary, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021. She retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 2006 after more than 35 years of service. Frances was an ordained Minister, Holy Clown entertainer and a teacher. Proceeded in death by her mother, Quintella Snelling Adams and father, George Snelling Sr., her sister, Audrey Simpson and brother, Fredrick Snelling. She is survived by sons; Theodis Ray of Minnesota, Donny Ray ( Debra) of California, and daughter LaKisha Harris ( Rayshaun)of Indianapolis. 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Visitation Friday, September 17, 2021 from 12:00 pm to 8:00pm. at the Guy & Allen Chapel 2959 W. 11th Ave. View and go Visitation. Funeral services will be held privately on Saturday, September 18, 2021.

Froebel class of 1968 offer our deepest sympathy in the death but heavens gain of your beloved mother. Frances knew God for herself and will now receive what he promised Eternal life.
