Gabriel Reba

Reba, Gabriel of L.O.F.S.-Crown Point, passed away at home on January 16, 2011 following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born on July 11, 1930 in Gary, IN. "Gabe" was a graduate of Tolleston High School, Class of 1948. A graduate of St. Benedict College, Atchison, earning a BS degree with advanced studies in 1952. Gabe served in the U.S. Armored Services-U.S. Army-Medical Services (Microbiological sciences) 1952-1955 in the Korean Conflict. He served as a Bacteriologist at Methodist Hospital in Gary, IN, 1955-56. He was a major stock holder and Director of Clinical Laboratories, Inc. from 1956-1970. He retired in 2004 as Property Development and Management from 1970-2004. Also a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Gabe is survived by his wife, Betty; 3 children, Ann (Larry) Lebryck, Peter (Judith) Reba and David (Sharon) Reba; Also, 5 grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. A memorial Mass will be offered on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 11 AM at Holy Spirit Church, 109th Ave. (just west of Randolph Street), Winfield-Crown Point, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 9 AM, until time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to Hospice of the Calumet Area, of to Holy Spirit Church.
