GEORGE A. EBERHART Hobart, IN/formerly Gary, IN Age 80 passed away Thursday, June 7, 2007. Survived by wife, Josephine (nee Dominick) of 57 years; four children: Mary Claire (James) Salerno of Verona, WI, Jeanne (Dale) Smith of Angola, IN, David (Dawn) Eberhart of Chesterton, IN, George R. (April) Eberhart of Shelton, WA; two sisters: Shirley (late Paul) Elibasich of Portage, Dorothy (late John) Gregor of Hobart; eight grandchildren: Craig and Sarah Chadwick, Jackie and Douglas Smith, Elizabeth Eberhart, Christopher (Angela) Salerno, Jason (Laurie) Salerno, Patricia (Solomon) Kaawaloa; four great grandchildren: sister-in-law, Helen (late Richard) Cardetti of Crown Point; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents Anna and George Eberhart, sister, Marilyn Meehan. George was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, sang in the Praise and Marian Choirs, and was an active server. He was a member of K of C Msgr. Joseph S. Ryder Council 4047, a retired crane operator form Gary Works with 41 years of service, a graduate of Lew Wallace High School, a World War II Army veteran and a lifelong Cubs fan. Friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service, 6360 Broadway, Merrillville, Sunday from 2-8 p.m. K of C service at 7:00 p.m. and Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be Monday, June 11, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. from Pruzin Brothers Chapel and 9:30 a.m. from SS. Peter & Paul Church, 5885 Harrison St., Merrillville with Rev. Dennis Teles officiating. At rest Calumet Park Cemetery.
