I served in the Air Force with Harold. He and I were born 10 days apart and celebrated our birthdays together in Okinawa (1969-!971). I searched for Harold after we left Okinawa and was on Facebook and saw his funeral. I lost a good friend . Pray the best for his family.

I was stationed in Okinawa with "Wash" with our friend Artis Allen. We shared rooms and even a house off base. We were best of friends and am greatly saddened to read of his passing. You can be proud of his Air Force career! He was a leader and well liked.

I worked with Harold, Earl and Earl Jr. at the Billet Mill, USS. I thought it was mistake when he joined the force, but he was right and I was wrong. Just a memory to share.

To my Friend Gwen and the Washington family I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your brother Harold. Back in the day I remember me and Barbara coming to your house and having so much FUN as your whole family (Your parents, Junior, Harold, Debra, little Bradley, the beautiful Benita with the long hair and Ma Sweet) was so kind and welcoming. Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. I remember joyful reunions with Auntie Sweet, Nooney Girl, Earl, grandma Jessie, Grandaddy Pete and the entire family when I was a little girl. I still cherish those memories to this day! Dear Linda and Sons: Harold will be truly missed by many. He committed his life to the betterment and safety of the citizens of Gary. He did that by working for many years as a Gary Police Officer and then as a bailiff at the Gary City Court. He loved me and my family and we returned that same love and respect.
