James Lowe Obituary

Lowe, James "Ed" Age 82, of Crown Point, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2011. Ed was a retired custodian for the Crown Point School Corporation. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Crown Point. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen L. Lowe, his sister, Helen Maeblo. He is survived by 2 daughters, Retta Mae Roorda of Demotte and Robin B. Ann Plants of Crown Point; 2 sons, Michael Lowe and Randy Lowe both of AR; step-daughter, Sandra (James) Houldson of Crown Point; step-son, Jimmy (Barbara) Rice of Fairland, IN; brothers, John (Mamie) Lowe of Hobart, Jack (Joan) Lowe of Mountain Home, AR; sisters, Georgetta (Joe) Shepard of Kouts and Adaline Bane of Racine, WI; 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home. Rev. John Starr officiating. Service will terminate at the funeral home with cremation at the Burns Funeral Home Crematory. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Golden Living Center of Merrillville, 8800 Virginia Place, Merrillville, IN www.burnsfuneral.com
