Javion Germaine Hawthorne

Javion Germaine Hawthorne, 20, passed on June 20, 2022. He was born to Frank G. (Theresa) Hawthorne and Chevon Rouse in Merrillville, Indiana on May 27, 2002. Javion graduated from Gary Middle College in 2020. Javion worked at Gary Health Department and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people. Jay loved the game of basketball and very skilled in that sport. Jay attended the Dwayne Wade Basketball Camps, Jordan Brand Basketball Camps, and McDonald's All-American Camps. Jay also loved to travel and take cruises. JV, as most called him, had a caring heart and would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. He leaves to cherish his memories loving grandparents, Willie (Gloria) Hawthorne, Leroy Watson, & Sharron Rouse; parents Frank G. (Theresa) Hawthorne, Chevon Rouse, & Hermie Stewart (stepdad); six paternal brothers, Gerrell, Dantrell, Germaine, William, Kyran and Bryce; one maternal brother, Jordan Small; three sisters, Crystiana, Che'Taira, and Shanicqua; Momtie Qiana "Tt Ki" Watson; Uncle Ladurian; Aunts Mona & Courteney. Special friend, Taylor Wright. Jay also has many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends (who were more like brothers and sisters). He also leaves to cherish his memory, loving girlfriend Tyreona Campbell. Services are for family, friends, and loved ones. Details available upon request from parents.
