Jeffrey Paschen Obituary
He raised two sons, Tommy and Danny, with their mother, Nancy Paschen (née Miskovich).
An enthusiastic and skilled craftsman, Jeff was HGTV before it existed. His basement and kitchen remodels were admired by the friends and family he warmly hosted, and he frequently spent free time volunteering to help others with projects.
He was known for his love of history and adventure novels, his kind spirit, generous heart and his dedication to others.
Jeff worked for ArcelorMittal for 40 years.
He is survived by his sons and their mother; his mother, Elizabeth (née Lange); a sister, Beth (Gordon) Klemm; his cousins, Gail McCluskey (née Klacik) and Lynn Ritter (née Klacik); his father and mother-in-law, Jim and Ann Miskovich; brothers-in-law Jim (Karen) and Tom (Sue) Miskovich; sister-in-law, Lynn Miskovich; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Paschen.
Due to the pandemic, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. For those able to attend, a funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2020 at 12:00 pm at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church at 7227 Hohman Ave. Hammond, IN. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Interment will be at Memory Lane Memorial Park in Crown Point.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial contributions to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, which Jeff was a devout member of, and devoted his time to repair and remodel.

Anyone who knew Jeff knew he gave everything his all, and always put others before himself. Jeff was nothing short of amazing at his work, and had the respect of everyone he worked with because Jeff not only knew how to get the job done, he moved heaven and earth to make it happen! God bless Jeff and his family. All are in my thoughts and prayers.
