Jessie was a great neighbor, would give me FRESH fish when he went fishing in Mississippi, he would buy watermelon and share with me and I would cook and take him a plate, especially on holidays, his passing was a shock to me, but I will FOREVER remember what an honorable, respectful and man of GOD he was.

Our condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Johnson. We have only known him since he became my neighbor here in Portage. He was always very pleasant, greeted us with a big smile or waved with each passing. He and my husband would often talk I only learned of his demise today, but we are praying that GOD will strengthen his family and mend their broken hearts. May God bless the family

When I learned of my uncle's passing, it cut me in an unexplainable way because although we didn't talk much, when we did talk he always gave me something I could use as a man. And I can remember him from as far back as I was a young child. Never raised his voice, always a good guy. Rest well Uncle Jesse.

Uncle Jesse it's hard to believe you are gone. We just talked a couple of weeks before for a couple of hours. I'm going to miss our conversations. I know you loved the Lord and is in heaven. We talked about the Lord a lot. I love you and will miss you very much! Love your niece Valerie
