Mrs. Sams was always sweet and warm when I visited the office at RHS. She shared with me the joy of her life when talking about her girls. She made a lasting impression with her Christian attitude and work ethics. Thanks for sharing her with the staff at Dear Old Roosevelt.

I was late for class at
Roosevelt High school many many times, she wrote out a pass and said to me to hurry to class. I said thank you a many days. Ran into her years ago at Community hospital, taking my mom for tests.
We talked about those old times at Roosevelt HS, she had then retired. She spoke of how glad she had finally retired. She was a beautiful spirit. May God bless and keep her family at this time of bereavement.

To Debra, Terri, the Sams and Preston families, I extend my deepest sympathy. JoAnn was a gentle, beautiful soul. I never heard her say anything unkind about anyone. She would instead find a way to compliment the person. She surely will be missed. Find solace in the knowledge that you will see her again and that she is in the presence of the LORD. I ask GOD to comfort you as only he can.

My condolences to the family. Mrs. Sam's was the sweetest and most genuinely kind person I have ever met. She didn't just speak the word of God, she walked the word of God. When my Mother died a few days before Christmas it was devastating. JoAnn surprised us and brought everyone of us Christmas presents that year and continually until she became ill she was always checking on the family to see if we needed anything or needed any help. We loved talking basketball with her. God bless her, she was a jewel. Her sweet smile always displayed her sweet personality. God bless you.

Mrs. Sams you embodied the love of God and the warmth of His spirit. Everytime you met a Roosevelt student we were greeted a beautiful smile and asked how we were doing as well you include our family members because you knew them. You were able to give us encouragement when no one us could during does difficult days being in at Roosevelt. The entire Roosevelt family will miss you and praise God you are not suffering anymore. You are resting in the arms of the one who created you in His image and likeness.
Well done faithful servant!!

To the family,

JoAnn's at peace. Think of the good times and smile. For comfort read Ecclesiastes 3:1-15,17,19,20,22. Her beautiful smile, her helping hand will be missed. May The Creator bring you peace during this time.
