John Arlet Obituary

John Edward Arlet, 90, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was born on July 5, 1931, in Gary, Indiana to the late Robert and Julia (Pastor) Arlet. He was retired from U.S. Steel and was a member of Midway Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he served as a mechanic. He was very gifted and was able to build or repair anything with his hands.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of sixty years, Barbara Jean Arlet; two brothers Robert and William Arlet and three sisters, Helen Fulop, Mariane Hynes and Dorothy Zeffer. He is survived by one daughter, Candra Sowder (Craig); four sons, Nicholas, John William, Jason and Tim (Denise) Arlet; one sister, Virginia "Jean" Heffley; one sister-in-law, Dawn Faust (Robert); one brother-in-law, Edward Rinkovsky; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are private by Conner Family Funeral Home & Cremation Center. A memorial service will be announced later in Indiana. Memorials can be made to Hospice of the Ozarks, 811 Burnett Drive, Mountain Home, AR 72653 or Midway Baptist Church, P.O. Box 239, 6425 Highway 5 North, Midway, AR 72651.
