JOHNNIE C. NANCE, JR. (The Money Man) 1942 - 2007 Gary, Indiana Johnnie Calvin Nance, Jr., was born on February 19, 1942, to the union of Johnnie Calvin Nance, Sr., and Pearline Nance of Alabama. At the age of 11, Johnnie's family moved to Chicago, IL, where he received his education through the Chicago Public School System. Johnnie was a music man and he loved to sing! He sang with several groups and one of his favorite songs was "I Won't Complain." This song was a true testimony of Johnnie's life. He never complained! Johnnie confessed Christ at an early age under the pastorage of the late Bishop Isaac Favors. On Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007, Johnnie Calvin Nance, Jr., moved from this life into his new home. Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Paul Edward Nance and Robert L. Nance. He leaves to mourn, his loving sister, Rose Marie (Supt. Eddie C.) Sample of Merrillville, IN; 1 brother, Pastor Joseph L. (Brenda) Nance of Merrillville, IN; a special cousin (who was actually like a sister), Jessie Cunningham of Homewood, IL; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives & friends. Homegoing Services for Johnnie C. Nance, Jr., will be held on Friday, Sept. 21, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. at Pearl Faith Center C.O.G.I.C., 4353 Massachusetts St., Gary, IN 46409. Visitation 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the day of service at the church. Supt. Eddie C. Sample officiating. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park, Hobart. Please send all flowers to the church.
