We had the pleasure of meeting Joseph (Poochie) several years ago at Revelle's, he was engaging, easy to talk to and gracious. many times after that initial meeting we would see him and talk, he was always the same. Gracious. His love for family was apparent, so was the special bond he and his brother shared. We appreciate meeting and getting to know Joseph (Poochie) better, and would like to extend our condolences to his wife and family.

I grew up with Joseph from Locke School through West Side. He was always pleasant, and a man of character and class. A very handsome man and I never heard anyone say anything bad of him or disliking him. May he rest in peace and my sincerest condolences to his family

My prayers and thoughts of love, strength and comfort are with the Family of Joe Smith. He was one of the nicest and polite classmates I remember at West Side. It has been many years since I've seen him but I remember him and the jeep he use to have back in the day. Also you couldn't forget him and his buddies Arthur, Dorian, Fish, Moe, Zeke & Tommy. He will be missed but not forgotten. Rest in peace Joe Smith your work is done.

Things sometime happen to quick in life, this is such a moment. You can never prepare yourself in life but every moment has a season. I knew Joseph as Revelle's brother who I saw back in the day as Revelle and I would rehearse our music in our teenage band. 2019 and Revelle's brother Joseph is throwing accolades about his younger brother Revelle and his musical talents at his younger brother's CD party. You could see the pride he had in his younger brother and the reverence Revelle had for his older brother who introduced him before his concert. That's something that can't be duplicated the bond that brothers have. Brothers will always be brothers no matter what.

The Nevils family sends our condolences to the Smith family for your loss. No words can adequately convey at this time but the celebration and memories of Joseph Devon Smith will live on forever.

While visiting my cousins church I saw Joe upfront I mean in the front sitting down. God’s blessings was where he wanted him to be. To the Smith Family, my sincere condolences to you all. Mr. Smith was one of the nicest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. My son Justin played basketball with Jarius since elementary school and every practice and game, Mr. Smith and Joseph were always there to encourage and support Jarius. Praying for your family during this most difficult time. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you.
