Our Dearest Joshua,
It's going on four months since you left us, and not a day goes by that we don't think about you honey. It's hard going on, not hearing your voice, seeing your smile, and holding you everyday. My heart is broke in two, and nothing can ever change that. Nothing can take your place in our hearts Baby. There is so many things I want to tell you, that I didn't get to say that night. The one thing is that We Love you So very much, and we are very proud of you honey. To us, You are a hero. You gave your life to save your families. And the only thing that gives us hope, is we know we will see you again some day. Hugs and Kisses to Our Leroy Angel. We love and miss you so very much Joshua. My deepest sympathies to your family at this difficult time. I know first hand how you feel as I lost my 8-year old daughter suddenly in February of this year.
There is nothing harder or more difficult in life then loosing a child. The pain never goes away and the firsts are always the hardest. You are in my prayers and thoughts!

My daughter, Tracey Ann Dalton, shares being featured with your little Joshua in this guest book. Tracey lost her life on Dec. 10th to a very tragic automobile accident out in New Hartford, CT leaving behind her 3 beautiful children: Mike 10, Courtney 6, and Jimmy 3.
Living in Chicago my entire life and knowing 55th & Central very well, I was just stunned to think about Joshua losing his life there. I find it unbelievable that my daughter now is with Joshua in Heaven. Tracey was a wonderful, and very devoted Mother. Please be assured that your little angel is being well taken care of up there by my angel, Tracey.
I am sure you are devasted by your loss as my family is in our loss. It seems like there is absolutely no rhyme or reason to any of this but I guess we just need to trust in God's plan.
I am so sorry for you as I know the pain you are feeling. Don't know how we will ever get over it. If you ever need someone to talk to, please email me and I will contact you. Noone knows the hurt of losing one of our own children unless they have also experienced it.
I will pray for you and could surely use some prayers too.

at Church last week-end, it was the anniversary of the day a little boy I babysat for died from leukemia many years ago at the age of 6. I thought about him and Joshua together and offered my mass for both of them. When you find a quarter on the street....it is Joshua sending you a message that everything is OK and he's watching over you.

To the Woods family me deepest sympathy goes out to you. My heart hurts for you. You lost a life not lived long enough. I can only imagine your pain. There is nothing anyone can say to make you feel better or the pain any less. The loss of a loved one is an unimaginable pain to deal with. I lost my mother 2 years ago and the pain is the same today as it was then, but it gets a little easier to cope with. Just know that you now have a beautiful guardian angel watching over all of you, and he is in Heaven with our Father. Your family has touched the hearts of many and even though we do not know eachother we are here for you. I am very happy to hear you have a lot of support and love all around you. May God bless you and comfort you.Joshua may not be here physically but he will always be here, in your heart and memories, that will never die.

The picture of your son on tv and newspapers made me feel like i had known him. That infectious smile he had, with a touch of "boy" in there.
I can not imagine what all of you are going through. Losing a child is not suppose to happen. Children are suppose to bury their parents.

Your son as touched so many people, especially me. I to have lost a child. We lost our daughter 2 years ago in a drowning accident. She was almost 2 years old. My heart just drops knowing YET another child was called home to Heaven so early. I am so sorry for you loss and promise to pray for you! We, lost our son/brother in Nov./03 in a car accident at age 17. We miss him so much and although never fully understanding why God called him home...I do know that God uses my painful loss and experience to help others in the same situation. Though I don't know you, I myself heard and read about this horrifying and freakish accident. No one knows why certain things happen and although they say that things happen for a reason, we still can't make sense of it. God wanted Joshua to be at his side. To the family of little Joshua...I didn't know Josh but I can feel your pain ever so hard. It is sharp and cuts so very deep. I lost a grandson several years ago in an accident and his name was Joshua also, and he had a brother named Matt and also one named Jacob. How ironic! You will NEVER get over his death but you will get through it. The hurt never goes away...just the sharpness of it. May you find comfort in knowing that someday, you will see him again. Although I do not know you, I do know what you are going through right now, since my wife and I suddenly lost our precious 4-year old daughter Christine just over 6-weeks ago. My advice to you is to seek the comfort of your family, friends and faith to help lessen the sorrow and sadness you feel today. These feeling will never go away, but these 3-F's will help you get through these difficult times. We still cry everyday for her. We grew up in NW Indiana and happened to be returning from Orlando on a Southwest flight into Midway about 2 hours before the accident and know what a problem the weather was that night. I can't imagine the pain you are going through. May it help to know the sympathy of the whole nation is with you at this time--you have touched so many lives with what you're going through. Little Joshua is in God's care and one of His little angels now. Bless you and your family as you cope at this very sad time.
